A Question About the Panic Attack Rule 333

I am just asking if this method works for not only the original intended purpose, but also because a faulty DISH is being corrected. (Just asking a question with insights to follow.)

Introduction

The other day I happened to stumble across the 3-3-3 Rule. I hadn’t heard of it before. It is meant to help control a panic attack. I found it very fascinating. It made me wonder if we are seeing a correcting of DISH (Defensive Individual Shield Hypothesis) in this process as well. Is this DISH correcting contributing to  the reason this method works?

Disclaimer: I am not discussing panic attacks nor the effectiveness of this method. I am just asking if this method works for not only the original intended purpose, but also because a faulty DISH is being corrected. (Just asking a question with insights to follow.)

3-3-3 Rule Explained

The 3-3-3 Rule is a method used to control a panic attack episode. The 3-3-3 Rule is a type of coping mechanism that is supposed to reduce the intensity or duration of a panic attack. It is an effort to distract the individual during this time. It is an effort to redirect the focus to other things.

It has shown to work, but what if it is working for reasons we hadn’t considered. We are told this works because it is a distraction. What if it is also filling in missing information? Allow me to elaborate.

Is a faulty DISH…

a contributing factor?

DISH Explained

I believe we have a frequency field around us that is doing something we currently aren’t aware of. I have named this the Defensive Individual Shield Hypothesis (DISH). I believe everyone has this DISH.

DISH has two jobs: protect the body and sort what the body encounters. By doing these two jobs, a person won’t reject the needed Good Guys (nutrients, hormones, etc.) the body is trying to utilize. I have explained this in more detail at this blog post here, What is D.I.S.H.?.

I believe DISH is meant to be automatic for everyone, but sometimes it malfunctions. When it malfunctions, it fails to do its jobs without intervention—making a manual DISH. When this happens, I think a domino effect occurs. Because of this domino effect, as time goes by, the faulty sorting eventually creates missing information. Information that is difficult to recall because of lack of nutrients.

When we are following the 3-3-3 Rule, are we not only distracting the person, but also filling in the missing information?

DISH is a concept and term I came up with. It has two jobs. 1. Shield the body 2. Sort what the Body Encounters When DISH is doing its job, I am winning against my health challenges. When it is NOT doing its job, I am losing. It's that simple. (But it's not that easy. But then again, autoimmune diseases aren't easy either.)

The 3-3-3 Rule considering DISH

Acknowledge three things

Look at your surroundings and identify three things around you.

  • Why they have you do this: It is believed by doing this, a person can direct their panic-inducing thoughts to focus on other things, like what is currently in their environment. It is meant to shift the individual’s focus.
  • How DISH plays its part in this: The process of identifying objects in your environment is a step used to help reprogram missing information in the mind. Many times missing information is lost even when we aren’t aware of it happening. Are we inserting this missing information back in?

Acknowledge three sounds

Identify three sounds you can hear.

  • Why they have you do this: This is intended for the same purpose as the visual example above. It is an effort to redirect the attention away from anxious thoughts and into the present environment.
  • How DISH plays its part in this: Technically, frequency is frequency. If the frequency of the DISH is off, maybe a sound (frequency) can help correct it. Is the subconscious mind becoming aware of these frequencies and reinserting the information back into the brain?

Move three parts of your body

Direct your focus to your body and move three parts.

  • Why they have you do this: This movement is believed to release tension as well as again attempt to divert your focus away from the attack and to something else.
  • How DISH plays its part in this: Movement moves lymph. The DISH malfunctioning I suspect is from lack of lymph movement. This is getting the lymph moving again. Is this helping the DISH to reset?

Panic Attack 333 Rule

My Panic Attack

When I had my ‘panic attacks’, my ER doctor said that he was going to diagnose me with this condition because he didn’t know what else it could be. He even said the symptoms didn’t line up as a typical panic attack. Thanks Doc.

For the first one, it did come from out of nowhere. The emotions followed because it was like I had no control of my body, and I didn’t know why. My attitude that followed was because I didn’t feel like I was being listened to.

When it Happened:

Depression set in for me hard for about a month. I felt all alone because I felt like nobody was listening to what I was saying. For example, after the first few, why did they occur again like clockwork only during the gallbladder meridian clock, give or take 5 minutes from midnight…consistently.  This question, along with many other questions,  flooded my brain. Is it possible that the body was trying to remove something from the blood, and it was trying to do it quicker—resulting in an increased heart rate?

When it didn't Happen:

Some believe a panic attack is emotion induced. I don’t think mine was. Others think it could be from challenges with the lymphatic system. I chose to run with this. At the time, I wasn’t even close to figuring out DISH yet, but I did notice that when I felt anxiety coming on, if I held a remedy in my right groin area, the feeling went away. EVERY TIME. What?!

What I Do Now:

I have since (10 years in  personal research) figured out DISH. Whenever I feel any hint of elevation of anxiety in my body, I suspect it is a build up of cortisol. By spraying a cortisol spray on my kidney area, this calms the body down immediately.

  • I think the body was fighting something and it caused too much inflammation.
  • This inflammation temporarily halted the sorting.
  • This sorting malfunction prevented excess cortisol from being able to leave.
  • By spraying cortisol on the outside of my body, I was manually doing what the lymphatic system should have automatically been doing and wasn’t.
  • By doing this, I can only assume my cortisol levels normalized, because the anxious feelings subsided. EVERY TIME.

Conclusion

If the 3-3-3 Rule works, let’s keep using it. However, I believe if we consider all possibilities of WHY it might be working, it may enable us to make progress forward in figuring out a way to make panic attacks a thing of the past.

If we have this backwards, and the sorting stopping is causing the imbalances, wouldn’t that give us a new direction to search for solutions?
